Jaan Se Pyaara is a 1992 Hindi-language action-romantic comedy film directed by Anand. It stars Govinda and Divya Bharti. Aruna Irani, Kiran Kumar, Raza Murad feature in supporting roles. The film was an unofficial remake of Heart of Dragon (1985). However, the concept of hero playing the role of both the brothers, unlike in the original version, was borrowed from the Kannada movie Shivashankar (1990) which was also based on the same movie. It was a Semi-hit at Box Office.[1]

Plot[]

Police Inspector Jai (Govinda) lives a middle-class life with his mother (Aruna Irani) and physically and mentally challenged brother Sunder (also Govinda). One day he arrests a man named Pandey, and after questioning him, finds out that the person behind this crime was a man named Guman Singh (Raza Murad). He gets on the trail of Guman Singh, arrests him, and keeps him in a cell. Then a series of explosions creates havoc in the city, with the assailants demanding the unconditional release of Guman. With the police having no clue as to the assailants whereabouts or where they are going to strike next, they release Guman. They threaten Jai with dire consequences, forcing Jai to resign from his job. Hoping that he and his family are safe, Jai starts to re-build his life, along with his sweetheart, Sharmila (Divya Bharti) who was orphan. Then tragedy strikes, his mother is killed in an accident, and his brother is abducted by Jagtap Singh (Kiran Kumar) and Guman, who demand that he return a bag containing their valuables. Jai is willing to do anything to get back his brother. His brother had he turned that back and he has put his brother's promise that he will not tell for anyone but Jhatap Singh and Gunman Singh kidnaps Sunder blackmails to Jay that if you don't return that box they will kill his brother. When Sundar hidden that bag and children's who were playing with him they tells to Jai that where Sundar had hidden the bag. Jai comes to Jagtap Singh taking that bag but they still didn't release Sunder. However Jai rescue his brother and starts fighting with them also Sundar starts fighting with them. Jagtap Singh Black males him that if you don't you that bag he will shoot his brother and also tell that he had only killed his mother. When Sundar hear that, sundar sa fighting with Jagtap Singh. Where is Jai was fighting with Gunman Singh. Jagtap Singh fires on Sundar but he puts his power and kills Jagtap Singh whereas Sundar kills Gunman Singh. Jay immediately takes his brother to hospital and admit him. Jai gets scared that and his brother may die but next morning he recovers and opens his eyes. At the end of the climax Sharmila and Jai both gets happy by seeing that Sundar is recovered.

The music was given by Anand–Milind. The song "Bin Tere kuch Bhi" was based on Kannada song of Dr Rajkumar - "Yendendu Ninnanu Maretu" from Eradu Kanasu.
