Jack Singleton (born 14 May 1996) is a rugby union player for Gloucester in the Premiership Rugby. His preferred position is hooker.

Club career[]

Singleton made his professional rugby debut for Worcester in Russia against Enisei-STM, in October 2016. In what proved to be a markedly good first professional season at Worcester, Singleton made 20 appearances. His Premiership debut came against Northampton Saints in November 2016. Singleton’s good form as a young player, saw him collect a 'Club's Young Player of the Season' award at the close of the English Premiership 2016-2017 season. This gained him interest from the England selectors.[1]

On 11 March 2020, Singleton would join Gloucester on a season-long loan deal for the 2020-21 season after Saracens are relegated to the RFU Championship due to the salary cap scandal.[2] It was later confirmed he would remain at Gloucester permanently from the 2021–22 season.[3]

International career[]

He appeared in England training camps and made his England debut against Barbarians in May 2017. In June 2018 Singleton was added to England's squad after the first test for the tour to South Africa.[4]

Singleton was called up to the England squad on 15 November 2021 as cover for the injured Jamie George for England's game against South Africa during the 2021 Autumn Nations Series.[5]
