Jacob Daniel Wiese (born January 1981) is a South African businessman, and the son of former billionaire Christo Wiese.

Early life[]

Jacob Wiese was born in January 1981,[1] the eldest of three children of Christo Wiese and his wife Caro.[2]

He received a bachelor's degree in Value & Policy Studies from the Stellenbosch University, a masters in International Economics & Management from the Bocconi University, Italy in 2004, and a bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Cape Town in 2008.[3]

Career[]

Wiese is an alternate and/or non-executive director of New Look, Shoprite Holdings, Pepkor Holdings, Invicta Holdings, Tradehold, Premier Foods and Fairvest Property Holdings Ltd.[3]

He is seen as the likely heir of his father's business interests.[4]

Personal life[]

In 2011, he married Jackie Hawtrey, a lawyer who works as a buyer for a fashion company, and the youngest child of Melville and Dawn Hawtrey of Cape Town.[2] They live in Bantry Bay, Cape Town.[5]
