Jam Awais Bijar Khan Jokhio is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh since August 2018.

Early life and education[]

He was born on 12 January 1982 and did BA.[1]

Political career[]

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Sindh as a candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party from Constituency PS-79 (Thatta-III) in 2018 Pakistani general election.[2]

Murder[]

He and his brother Jam Abdul Karim Bijar was accused of involvement in murder and torture of a local journalist, Nazim Jokhio on 3 November 2021. Reportedly, 27-year-old victim tried to stop the guests of Jokhio from hunting houbara bustard in Thatta.[3] FIR was registered against Jokhio and he was taken into police custody.[4]
