James Oates (born 18 April 1998) is an English field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for Hampstead & Westminster and the England and Great Britain national teams. [1]

He was educated at The King's School, Canterbury. [2]

Club career[]

Oates plays club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division for Hampstead & Westminster. He has previously played for Canterbury.

International career[]

He made his senior England debut against Spain on 4 February 2022 and scored a goal.
