Jamia Nooriyya Arabic College is a religious higher educational institute of Sunni Muslims of Kerala, India, founded by Sayyid Abdurrahiman Bafaki Tangal on a Waqf land provided by Karachi Bapu Hajji. This is Kerala's First Islamic Arabic College established by Sunni Muslims in pursuit of building Kerala's own Baqiyat Salihat Arabic College. It is situated at Pattikkad, near Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district of Kerala. The institute is currently running under Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama. It celebrates its anniversary in February–March of every year.[1] Jamia has more than 50 junior colleges across the country. The institution is planning to set up its junior colleges in Nairobi and Fiji as declared officially by its head Prof. Ali Kutty Musliyar.

Students' Union[]

There is a strong student union in the college called Noorul Ulama Students Association. Their activities are exemplary for all institutions and unions. They conduct camps, seminars, workshops and debates to educate students and the public about Islamic principles. It allows people to live peacefully without communal strife and to behave in harmony with one another. It is a fact that Noorul Ulama has the reputation of being the first Islamic student organization in Kerala.

The Union has published a number of useful and informative books in various languages. In addition, a souvenir is published every year to commemorate the college's anniversary.
