Jeremiah La Touche Cuyler (June 4, 1768 – May 7, 1839) was a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Georgia.

Education and career[]

Born on June 4, 1768, in New York City, Province of New York, British America, Cuyler read law in 1789. He entered private practice in Savannah, Georgia from 1789 to 1821. He was a member of the Georgia State Senate.[1]

Federal judicial service[]

Cuyler received a recess appointment from President James Monroe on June 12, 1821, to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Georgia vacated by Judge William Davies. He was nominated to the same position by President Monroe on December 19, 1821. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on January 10, 1822, and received his commission the same day. His service terminated on May 7, 1839, due to his death in Savannah.[1]
