Jesús Cruz (born April 15, 1995) is a Mexican professional baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Career[]

In 2019 in the minors leagues, Cruz pitched in the minor leagues for the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Cardinals' Single-A and Double-A affiliates and combined for a 6.02 ERA with a 13.1 K/9 against 6.8 BB/9 over 61.1 innings pitched. Cruz was called up to MLB for the first time on August 18, 2020,[1] and same day he made his MLB debut.[2] On September 1, 2020, Cruz was designated for assignment by the Cardinals after giving up two runs over 1 inning pitched.[3]
