Jim Lord

James Frank Lord (November 26, 1948 – June 6, 2008) was a Minnesota lawyer and politician in the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.[1]

Born in Chanhassen, Minnesota, Lord was the son of United States District Court Judge Miles Lord and brother of . Lord served in the United States Merchant Marine. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and William Mitchell College of Law. He was elected to the Minnesota State Senate in 1972 at the age of 23 and served from 1973 to 1975. Lord was a Democrat and lived in Excelsior, Minnesota. He served as Minnesota State Treasurer from 1975 to 1983. He died from a heart attack.[2][3]
