Jimenez Lai was a faculty member of UCLA. He is also the founder and leader of Bureau Spectacular, a design studio founded in 2008 and led by Jimenez Lai and his partner, Joanna Grant.

Academic career[]

Jimenez Lai was a faculty member at UCLA. Lai previously held the LeFevre Fellowship at the Knowlton School of Architecture at the Ohio State University in 2007 and the Howarth-Wright Fellowship at Taliesin (studio)/Taliesin West. He was an assistant professor at University of Illinois at Chicago.
