Jimmy James (born James A. Fyke; June 27, 1959) is an American multi instrumentalist.

James, from Colonia, New Jersey, received a bachelor of Music degree from University of Tampa in 1981. Was President of honorary Music Fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi.

Jimmy originally played the bass with Tommy Tutone, later switching to guitar and drums and performing the role of band leader.[1]

Jimmy has also played bass with Animotion, keyboards with Mike Tramp (White Lion), Guitar with Bad Company featuring Brain Howe. He has written Rock shows for Theme parks such as, Busch Gardens, Opryland, Fiesta Texas and Disney. Performing with acts such as Fabian, The Coasters, The Marvellettes, Lou Christie etc.

Jimmy also has a solo singer/songwriter career performing solo acoustic guitar throughout Europe supporting acts such as Kip Winger and Eric Martin (Mr. Big).[2][3]

Jimmy has product endorsements with Orange Amplifiers,[4] Marshall Amplifiers, ,[5] Gibson Guitars, Kubicki basses, Hammond organs, Rick Turner guitars and Clayton picks.

Jimmy now lives in Tampa, Florida.
