Jockey is a 2021 American drama film written by Greg Kwedar and Clint Bentley, who also is the director.[4] The film stars Clifton Collins Jr., Molly Parker and Moises Arias.[1]
The film had its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival on January 31, 2021.[1]
Plot[]
An experienced rider who has endured decades of racing on the equestrian circuit now finds himself facing what could be his last season due to deteriorating health. With the help of Ruth and a promising new horse, Jackson begins to prepare for the upcoming championship, reflecting on his legacy.

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 86% of 43 reviews are positive, with an average rating of 7.20/10. The website's critical consensus reads, "Jockey rests almost entirely on Clifton Collins Jr. in the title role – and he proves more than up to the task with a brilliant performance that gives this poignant drama its soul."[7] Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 76 out of 100 based on 14 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews".[8]
