Johann Philipp von Krusenstjerna

Johann Philipp von Krusenstjerna (1624–1659) was German soldier who entered the service of the Swedish Africa Company. He was the second governor of Cape Coast Castle (1655 - 27 Jan 1658).[citation needed] However this was not to the liking of Hendrik Carloff, the previous governor appointed by the Swedish Africa Company. Carloff – whose allegiances had already shift from the Dutch West India Company to the Swedish Africa Company, entered into negotiations with Frederick III of Denmark, and upon being appointed
