John James Jaffray Mallard (18 December 1860 – 26 March 1935) was a New Zealand cricketer and insurance executive. He played two first-class matches for Otago between 1882 and 1885.[1][2]

Mallard was born in Melbourne and moved with his family to Dunedin in 1864. After attending Otago Boys' High School he began working for the Victoria Insurance Company.
