John Ormonde
John Ormonde (15 September 1905 – 25 June 1981) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician.[1] He was first elected to Dáil Éireann at a by-election in 1947 as a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD) for the Waterford constituency. In 1957 he joined the cabinet of Éamon de Valera as Minister for Posts and Telegraphs. He served in government until 1959. He lost his Dáil seat at the 1965 general election.[2] He was elected to the Labour Panel at the 1965 election to the 11th Seanad.[citation needed]
