Jonah Malak

Jonah Malak, sometimes credited as Karim Haroun,[1] is a Canadian documentary filmmaker based in Montreal, Quebec.[2] He is most noted for his 2020 film Dave Not Coming Back, for which he was a Canadian Screen Award nominee for Best Editing in a Documentary at the 9th Canadian Screen Awards in 2021.[3]

He is a founding partner in the Nemesis Films studio, alongside and Dominique Dussault. He also previously directed the feature documentary films Mystic Mass (Masse mystique) and My Tuesdays at Catherine's (Mes mardis chez Catherine),[4] and the short films Récits d'hyperinflation and June, and has had editing credits on films including Our Gentleman of the Wings, La fleur de l'âge and Les Jaunes.
