Jones Peak

Jones Peak (

85°5′S 172°0′W / 85.083°S 172.000°W / -85.083; -172.000Coordinates: 85°5′S 172°0′W / 85.083°S 172.000°W / -85.083; -172.000) is a mainly ice-free peak, 3,670 metres (12,040 ft) high, standing 5 nautical miles (9 km) west-northwest of Mount Fisher at the head of DeGanahl Glacier, in the Prince Olav Mountains of Antarctica. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for , Program Officer of the Committee on Polar Research, National Academy of Sciences, 1957–1963.[1]
