Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (Arabic: شركة مصفاة البترول الأردنية) runs the only oil refinery in Jordan. It was established in 1956, and construction of the oil refinery plant started in 1957. Currently, the company's production does not cover all of the Kingdom's needs for oil products, and Jordan must rely on imports from other countries.
