Josef Somr (born 14 April 1934 in Vracov) is a Czech actor. He played the role of the libidinous train dispatcher Hubička in Jiří Menzel's Oscar-winning 1966 film Closely Watched Trains (or Closely Observed Trains in the UK). He also starred in the film Poslední propadne peklu under director Ludvík Ráža in 1982.[1] In 2014, Somr received a lifetime achievement award at the Thalia Awards for his theatre work.[2]
