The Journal of Human Rights is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering human rights studies and practices, and natural and legal rights in context of national and international law, and international relations. It is published by Taylor and Francis. The Journal of Human Rights is currently housed at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT and edited by Shareen Hertel, Professor of Political Science and Human rights.[1]

The journal was established in 2001, by founding editor-in-chief Thomas Cushman, Professor of Sociology (Wellesley College).[2]

The journal is abstracted and indexed in the International Bibliography of the Social Sciences, Social Sciences Citation Index, Current Contents, EBSCO databases, PsycINFO, and Scopus. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2018 impact factor of 1.185.[3]
