JoyTunes is a privately held company developing music learning software. The company specializes in creating mobile apps on how to learn music intruments, initially the piano and later branching out to other instruments such as the guitar[1] with interactive listening system called MusicSense[2] that can tell acoustically how well you're playing a piano or a MIDI keyboard.[3]

JoyTunes has raised three rounds for a total of $7M from angel investors and VCs. In Aug 2014, JoyTunes raised $5 million in Series A funding led by Aleph VC and with participation from Formation 8 and Genesis Partners.[4] Angel investors include the former CEO of Steinway, Dana Messina.[5]

In 2019, JoyTunes announced that it raised $25 million in a round led by Tel Aviv-based venture capital firm Qumra Capital. JoyTunes has apps like Simply Piano(piano) and Simply Guitar(guitar).[6] The company has raised $43 million to date.[7]
