Julian Chadwick

Fra' Julian William Mark Chadwick (born 3 January 1957) [1] is a British solicitor and a Knight of Justice of the Order of Malta. He is the former Chairman of the Latin Mass Society of England and Wales.[2]

Early life[]

Chadwick is the son of Douglas Herbert Chadwick, of London, and of his wife Elizabeth Mary Evans.[1] He was born in Carmarthenshire, Wales. From 1967 to 1974, he attended the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe.[1] He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford, and received the degree Master of Arts from the University of Oxford in 1978.[1]

Legal career[]

Chadwick was admitted as a solicitor at Lincoln's Inn in 1982.[1] From 1982 to 1990, he worked at Gamlens. From 1991 to 2007 he was a managing partner at Penningtons. From 2010 to 2015, he was Chairman of Thomas Eggar. Since 2018, he has been a consultant at Knights plc.

Order of Malta[]

On 11 July 2013 at the Oxford Oratory, Chadwick made his solemn vows as a Knight of Justice before the Prince and Grand Master Fra' Matthew Festing.[3]

Charitable activities[]

Chadwick is Chairman of the Newbury Spring Festival, an annual music festival in Newbury, Berkshire.[4]

Chadwick is a member of the Association of Masters of Harriers and Beagles. He is a former master of the Welsh Foot Beagles, the Christ Church and Farley Hill Beagles, and the Palmer Milburn Beagles.
