Julie von Webenau

Julie von Webenau (16 October 1813 – 2 July 1887) was a German-Austrian composer.

Biography[]

Born as "Baroni-Cavalcabò" in Lemberg, she was a student of Mozart's son Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart. In 1839, Robert Schumann dedicated his Humoreske, Op. 20 to her. Her granddaughter Vilma von Webenau also became a composer.

She died in Graz, Austria, aged 73.
