  1. ^ The notation Old Style or (OS) is sometimes used to indicate a date in the Julian Calendar (which is used by churches on the "Old Calendar").
    The notation New Style or (NS), indicates a date in the Revised Julian calendar (which is used by churches on the "New Calendar").

  3. ^ "Venerable Symeon the Archimandrite and Stylite." He is absent from the Synaxarion of Nicodemus. However his memory is recorded in the "Patmiako" Codex, as well as in "Βιέννης Theol. gr. 300", and in the Synaxarion of Delahaye, without any biographical details.[15]
