Jurie George van Vuuren (born 7 June 1993 in Ladybrand) is a South African rugby union player who plays for the Utah Warriors in Major League Rugby (MLR).[1]
He previously played for theEastern Province Elephants in the Currie Cup and in the Rugby Challenge[2]
He also was a member of the Southern Kings. His regular position is lock or flanker.
Career[]
With no prior senior experience, Van Vuuren joined the Stormers' touring squad during the 2014 Super Rugby season following several injuries to first team players.[3][4] He made his debut for the Stormers in their 25–15 loss to the Brumbies in Canberra[5] by coming on as a second-half substitute.[6] He was named in the starting line-up for the Stormers' next match, against the Reds in Brisbane.[7]
