Koduri Viswa Vijayendra Prasad is an Indian screenwriter and film director known for his works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema. In 2011, he directed the Telugu film Rajanna, which won the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film.[2] He won Filmfare Award for Best Story in 2016 for the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.[3]

Since 1988, he was the screenwriter for more than twenty five films, most of which turned out to be blockbusters.[4][5][6] His recent works writing screenplay for very successful films including; Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Mersal, Baahubali: The Beginning, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.[7][8][9][10]

Personal life[]

K V Vijayendra Prasad has two children—a daughter and a son. His son S. S. Rajamouli is a filmmaker. Prasad is uncle to music composers M. M. Keeravani, M. M. Srilekha, Kalyani Malik and writer Sivasri Kanchi.
