KIBS (100.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a country music format. Licensed to Bishop, California, United States, the station is currently owned by Great Country Broadcasting, Inc.[1]

History[]

KIBS-AM went on the air in 1956 at 1230am on the radio dial. John Young bought the radio station in 1977 and soon after Bought KIOQ-FM in Bishop, CA. He then switched KIBS-AM to the FM dial at 100.7 KIBS. At that time KBOV-1230 AM was born. The call letters for KBOV stand for "Beautiful Owens Valley".

Both KIBS-FM and KBOV-AM are going strong. KIBS still playing Country Music and KBOV playing Classic hits and a Los Angeles Dodger's affiliate.
