Kamulu is a residential community located 35 Kilometers from Nairobi Central Business District, Kenya within Nairobi County, Kasarani Constituency, Ruai Ward. It lies on the east side of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport bordering Githunguri, to the East, /Embakasi Ranching on the North West. It is in ward.

Kamulu belongs to the Ruai ward of Kasarani constituency. The area can be accessed Via Embu – Nairobi highway/Meru – Nairobi Highway/Thika Rd/A2, Via Eastern Bypass – (Uhuru highway, Mombasa road, JKIA, Utawala Route).

Some of the key location names in Kamulu include Acacia, Makongeni, Stage 26, Kanisani, Sir Henry, Kingoris, Kamulu Shopping Center. The boundary between Nairobi and Machakos county lies at the end of the Kamulu with the point being the Athi River Bridge.Making Kamulu the East Entry Of Nairobi according to the District & Boundaries Act of 1992.[1]

The region is home to Kasarani Technical and Vocational College, the St. Vincente De Paul Catholic Church, Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG) Protestant church in Ngundu, Dominion Centre Int'l, Made In The Streets, Panorama College, Drumvale Secondary School, Kingoris Grounds, Drumvale Primary School, Kamulu Play Park and Ng'undu Primary School. The Nairobi River and Mbagathi River also pass through the peripheries of this area making it a key part of the Athi River Basin.[2]

Kamulu Real Estate[]

The Kamulu neighborhood remains ones of the most sought-after areas for real estate development in Kasarani Constituency. In 2016, Kamulu was ranked among the fastest growing real-estate areas along Kangundo Road by the .[3] and has experienced rapid construction boom since then, with companies like Denver Group, Banita Real Estate, Fanaka Real Estate, Kamulu Heights and other Kenyan Estate opening branches there.[citation needed]
