Kanthari is a Malayalam drama entertainment movie released under the banner of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba R Prabhukumar.[1] Directed and scripted By Ajmal. Kanthari Mollywood movie star casts are Rachana Narayanankutty, Sekhar Menon, Subiksha, Rajshri Nair, Sreejith Ravi, Manav, Balaji and others. This movie songs and background score (music) composed by Arun Choudary, Gautham Rinil (BGM) and released on 19 June 2015.[2]

Cast and crew[]

Kanthari directed by Ajmal is a story which completely revolves around the urban life in Kochi.[3] ‘Kanthari’ is the story of Rani Rachana Narayanankutty aka Kanthari.[4] Rani is brought up by some prostitutes in Kochi.[5] They give her good education and have great hopes about her.[6] Palarivattom Padmavathy (Seenath), Vypin Radha (Devi Menon), and Thammanam Mary (Rama Devi) are the care takers of Rani. Since she is born and brought up in difficult situations she grows as a fearless and bold girl.[7] ‘Kanthari’ is a thriller that takes a peek into certain present day social issues.[8] The film also casts Thalaivasal Vijay, Subhiksha, Shekhar Menon, Kalinga Sasi, Saju Kodiyan, Kalabhavan Martin, Kulappulli Leela, Manav, Parvathy Renjith, Lorain, and Kalabhavan Haneef. Kanthari is produced by R Prabhukumar under the banner of Siva Shirdi Sai Baba.[9]

Plot[]

Adopted by a few hustlers in Kochi, Rani grows up to be an ace snatcher. A prosperous debilitated Aamir strays into her life and strangely enough, they strike a rapport.[10]
