Katherine Obiang is a Cameroonian-Nigerian actress,[1] on-air personality and TV presenter. Initially, she worked as a television presenter for Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) on AM Express and also with Nigeria Info 99.3FM. Subsequently, Katherine started acting and starred in Nollywood movies and TV series.[2] She featured in the 2017 movie, The Women and won the 2017 Best of Nollywood Awards for the Best Supporting Actress alongside Kate Henshaw and Omoni Oboli.[3]

She has featured alongside other actors in movies such as Lekki Wives,[4] We Don't Live Here Anymore,[5] and Journey to Self amongst others.

Biography[]

Katherine was born on May 17. Her father is from Cameroun while her mother is from Nigeria.[6] Katherine Obiang was married to Who Wants to be a Millionaire (Nigerian game show) host, Frank Edoho. The duo was married for 7 years with three children, separated in 2011[7] and the marriage ended in 2013[8] due to Frank Edoho's bad temper and domestic violence.[9] Though Frank openly denied beating his ex-wife (Katherine Obiang) on Twitter after a user accused him of domestic violence.[10] Frank moved on with new marriage.[10]

Career[]

Katherine is an actress, entertainer, on-air personality, and TV presenter.[11] She worked as a TV presenter for Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) on AM Express (morning show) and Nigerian Info 99.3FM. She became more prominent when she featured in the 2012 movie, Journey to Self, directed by Tope Oshin. Afterwards, she has appeared in several Nollywood movies and TV series.[11]
