Kaushik Hossain Taposh (born November 8, 1983) is a Bangladeshi music composer, producer, and musician. He is also serving as the Managing Director & C.E.O of One More Zero Group & Gaan Bangla TV.[1][2][3] He is the creator of 'Wind of Change'.[clarification needed] Serving as the Managing Director and CEO of Gaan Bangla[4] his platform promotes diversifying all aspects of entertainment under one umbrella so that every artist involved can move forward with swiftness when trailing their creative process. At age 31, Taposh broke another record by becoming the youngest person to be given a Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Composer for a film song composition for the film Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini (2013).[5] In 2018, he won the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award[a] - an honor not previously given to any other Bangladeshi composer,[6] also in the same year Taposh accepted The Mother Teresa International Award [7] on behalf of TM Productions for his ‘Wind of Change- Music for Peace’ campaign.

Career[]

At the age of eight, Taposh released his first music album, Pakihder Pathshala (Birds' School) on February 21, 1991, at Ekushey Book Fair.[8] He studied at Bangladesh Institute of Broadcasting art (BIBA).[8] He took singing lessons at Shishu Academy, learned folk music at Chhayanaut.[8] and set a national record by having a solo album- the first for a child of that age.[citation needed] He studied at Bangladesh Institute of Broadcasting art (BIBA) and stood first in a five-year course while also taking singing course at Shishu Academy and folk music at Chhayanaut.[citation needed] At age nine, he began to move from classical music toward band music and taught himself how to play the guitar, flute and keyboard.[citation needed] As a teenager he began to play for the Bengali band Miles.[citation needed] He also composed a very successful duet album by James and Hasan, named Khelaram Khele Ja.[citation needed]

Early in his career, Taposh was asked to make videos for the (then) new television station ATN.[citation needed] He also worked as the only Bangladeshi intern producer at MTV in Singapore. At ATN was given a major stake in the company as the CEO and Managing Director of two new wings- ATN Records and Events.[citation needed] He is also an interviewer. He has interviewed people such as of NagarBaul and Azam Khan (singer) in his teenage years.[citation needed]

At age 20, he suspended his music career to create a financial platform from which to launch a Bangladeshi music industry. Within three years he had established sizable income streams of his own and launched an event management company- One More Zero.[citation needed] He supervised the first event, the Cricket World Cup 2011 in Dhaka, and was met with massive success.[citation needed]

He created Gaan Bangla,[4] [9] a music streaming television network, in 2013 and introduced top artists through his channel with music videos, refraining from broadcasting any kind of other programs. The channel plays both English and Bangla music.

Taposh is the brain child and the lead composer of 'Wind of Change' [10] - a multi dimensional musical platform of the world with its headquarters in Bangladesh. Through this platform Taposh has collaborated with over 141 international musicians as a lead composer and music conductor. Taposh also has two international solo collaborations.[citation needed]

Kaushik Hossain Taposh is the creator of Gaan Bangla[11] - Launched on December 16 of 2013, the first full HD music channel of Bangladesh, Gaan Bangla[4] In addition, everything broadcast on Gaan Bangla[12] is personally filtered by the GB team in order to deliver the maximum output possible that upholds a magnificent level of quality. Equipped with modern graphics and design techniques, the principal mission is to showcase talents from across the nation worldwide.[citation needed]

One More Zero Communications Ltd.[]

One More Zero Communications Ltd. is the largest event management company with the highest revenue stream in Bangladesh.[citation needed]

TM Records[]

TM Records is an Independent Record Label based in Dhaka Bangladesh. Under the direction of founders Kaushik Hossain Taposh & Farzana Munny, TM Records is in the preliminary stages of a nationally anticipated mega launch. The label will feature authentic music ranging across all genres of music. In the stages of its soft launch TM Records has released a single ‘Oti Shundor Ghor’ which is an original creation of its founder TAPOSH and the song has made a major mass impact with over 10 million views within the first 14 days of its release.[citation needed]

Personal life[]

Taposh is married to Farzana Munny. Together they operate OMZ group. Farzana Munny is a beautician and a fashion designer of Bangladesh. She is also the owner of the women's beauty platform Que-Bella.[8][16] They have three children.[17]
