Kayamozhi is a village which is situated 9 km in west of Thiruchendur in Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu, India.[1][2] The history of this Village goes back to the 16th century AD as a capital of the old vadapattu region.[3]

It is done by Hindu people due to Tiruchendur is near to our village.
  • Aadi is the Important month of Tamil months due to the festival of Muppudathi Amman Temple, Kayamozhi. At the time of this event, People do their fasting.
  • Purattasi is the predominant month for Fasting of Hindu people, for Lord Perumal. It should be compulsorily followed by the people. Through this Fasting, there is a belief that they might get Helath and wealth. In Purattasi Last week, Nava Rathiri is also celebrated very grandly with prestigious fasting method for the goddess of Sri Kulasai Mutharamman
  • Karthigai is also one of the important tamil months for fasting to celebrate Thiru Karthigai Deepam. At the end of Karthigai, some of the people who offer Fruits, dress, along with Paniyaram(Paddu) and etc for Kanni goddess.
  • Margazhi is the Starting of Winter season. In this month Margazhi, Bhajanas (Praising song of God) are done by people. Mostly, It is done in Vinayagar Temples. However, There is a special Early Dawn poojas are also occurs at this time.
  • Thai is the month which the people have to thank god for the tremendous yield of paddy. Pongal could be celebrated upto 3 days.
  • At Panguni , Panguni Uththiram is celebrated in the temples. At that time also, people don't get non veg items.
