Kazan Ring is a race track, built on the outskirts of Kazan, along its bypass road next with autodrome "High Mountain".[clarification needed] Construction began in 2006,[citation needed] with Hermann Tilke participating in the development of the course. The track has a length of 3.476 kilometers and a height difference of up to 28 meters.[citation needed] The track runs counterclockwise. The first competition took place in 2011.[citation needed] The absolute track record was set in test runs on a 2010 GP2 race car, the indicated time is 1 minute 12.87 seconds.[1]
