Keith Wrightson (born 22 March 1948) is a historian who specialises in early modern England.

Education[]

Wrightson was educated at Dame Allan's Boys' School, Newcastle upon Tyne and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, where he received his BA (1970) and PhD (1974) degrees.[1]

Career[]

Wrightson has taught at the University of St Andrews, University of Cambridge and Yale University.[2] Wrightson is currently the Randolph W. Townsend Professor of History at Yale University.[3]

Honours[]

Wrightson is a Fellow of the British Academy and the Royal Historical Society. Wrightson was formerly the President of the North American Conference on British Studies.[2][4] Wrightson is the recipient of the .[2]
