Kelly Scott Poppinga (born January 31, 1982) is an American football coach and former player. He is the co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at the University of Virginia. Poppinga played college football at Utah State University and Brigham Young University (BYU) as a linebacker. He was signed by the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and also spent time that season with the St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals.
