Keogh, usually pronounced /ˈkjoʊ/, is an Irish surname. It is a reduced form on an Anglicisation of the Gaelic Mac Eochaidh, MacEochaidh. The personal name Eochaidh is based upon the Gaelic eoch, meaning "horse". The spelling "K'Eogh" is used by one particular family, late of Kilbride House, Co. Carlow.
