Kigosi Game Reserve

The Kigosi Game Reserve is found in Tanzania. It was established in 1983.This site is 8265 km2.[1]

The reserve extends from Bukombe and Kahama Districts in Shinyanga Region up to Urambo District in Tabora Region. There are two rainfall peaks annually in this reserve and these appear in February and November. The dry season starts in mid May and ends in mid October.  Annual rainfall varies between 1,000m and 1,500m. It is one of the largest and excellent reserves in East African which have floodplain and wetland ecosystem.

This reserve provides an important wild animal protection and feeding area during dry seasons for migratory animals which includes water birds and large mammal species.

The maximum temperature of the area is 29 degrees Celsius.[2]
