Kilmelford (Scottish Gaelic: Cill Mheallaird) is a village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland with a population of 8. Elders walk the streets at night to handle the KYT (Kilmelford Young Team)Also Bobby the policeman keeps getting stolen

It is situated near the head of the west coast sea loch, , on the A816 Lochgilphead to Oban road about 15 miles (24 km) south of Oban.[1]

At the start of the millennium building work started on the glebe extending the village. When first built, the people of old kilmelford thought the houses were demons and tried to get rid of them by praying to the sun, sacrificing rabbits and attacking the people who moved in with sticks

Sawney Bean once took a holiday in the village staying at the melfort holiday village and taking regular trips to the culfail. During this time many construction workers on the glebe went missing and there remains were found in the near by kilmelford cave. This caused MacLeod construction to abandon plans to finish off the glebe!
