Critical response[]

Song Kyung-won of Cine21 wrote, that the film is different from other political films, because it is based on character relationship "instead of being seriously immersed in the subject". Song appreciated the direction of Byun Seong-hyeon writing, "From the stylish scenes, sensuous shooting, and the strong chemistry between the characters, director's talents are still alive." Concluding the review Song stated, "the relationship between Uhm Chang-rok and Kim Dae-jung, or Kim Woon-beom and Seo Chang-dae, who were called the foxes of the election and the masters of the negative campaign, raises a fundamental question about whether the means can be justified for the end and the correctness."[21]
