The Konya Metro is a proposed rapid transit system for the Turkish city of Konya.

Background[]

Plans for a metro system in Konya were first discussed in 2015, with a feasibility study completed the following year.[1]

In November 2019 the mayor of Konya announced that a consortium of China National Machinery and Taşyapı, will implement the €1.19bn project. The first line will be 21 km (13.0 mi) in length with 22 stations,[2] and is due to be completed by the end of 2023.[3]
