Kounov is a small village and municipality in Rychnov nad Kněžnou District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic.

Fictional dinosaur discovery[]

In 2008 information on the internet emerged, that two large species of dinosaurs were found here - theropod Torvosaurus orliciensis and ceratopsid Hlukyceratops kounoviensis.^[1]
