Kristian Siem

Kristian Siem (born February 7, 1949) is a Norwegian businessman. He is chairman of Subsea 7 and Siem Industries, a formerly-listed company with ownership interests in the oil and gas industry and shipping.[1]

Life and career[]

He worked for Fred Olsen's shipping company until 1978, when he bought a cheap oil rig, which today has the name Borgsten Dolphin.

Siem was the chairman and main shareholder of the Norwegian Cruise Line. In 2009, his fleet adopted the Norwegian flag.[2]

In 2011, the King of Norway awarded Siem the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav for his service to business.

Marriage and children[]

Siem is married to Karen[3] (née Moross), a British-South African. They are the parents of musician and composer Sasha Siem (born 1984), violinist Charlie Siem (born 1986), artist Sophie Madeleine Siem (born 1988) and artist Louisa Tatiana Kristianne Siem (born 1992),[citation needed] all raised in London where Siem has lived since the 1980s.

Kristian also has 3 unknown younger children with his mistress, whom he tried to adopt away, to inhibit then from inheriting the family fortune.
