Kubera Das, also known as Sant Kubera[1] was a saint from Gujarat who founded Kuberapanth. He was born in a Talpada Koli family in Sarasa village of Anand district in Gujarat. His followers numbered 20000 and the largest among them were the followers of Luhar Jati. Almost all the devotees of Sant Kubera considered him their deity.[2] All the devotees used to call themselves Kuberpanthi meaning Kuberavanshi (Kuberbhakta). The devotees of Kubera considered themselves descendants of Kubera.[3]
