Randell "Kydd" Jones is an American rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas.[1][2]


Career[]

Jones performed at NXNE,[3] The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival[4] and Red Bull Sound Select[5] in 2014 while producing for Kirko Bangz[6] on Progression V.[7] During 2015, he released two singles: Patience[8] and Blink Away[9] with Sean Price; he also performed at the Billboard Hot 100 Fest at Jones Beach Theater.[10] After being personally picked by Chuck D to open for The Hip Hop Gods Tour in Los Angeles at The Novo (formerly Club Nokia),[11] Kydd opened for The Art Of Rap Fest at the Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta during 2016.[12] He released Sounds in My Head 2: The Righteous Edition later that year with features from Skyzoo,[13] Yelawolf,[14] Pac Div,[15] A.Dd+,[16] Cory Kendrix, Max Frost, GLC & Tank Washington.[17] In 2018, he released an album entitled Homecoming[18] and an EP with producer Insightful[19] of Soulection. Jones performed at SXSW[20] and Austin City Limits Festival[21] in both 2018 and in 2019 with Gary Clark Jr,[22] then followed that up by performing at Blues On The Green[23] during 2020 and 2021.[24]
