Lajbook (also spelled Lajbouk) is a village and union council of the Lower Dir District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

This green valley is famous for a tourist spot Sheen Ghar. People from everywhere go there on tour.

The union council Lajbook has many beautiful villages. Most important among these are Mass, Ghwargay, Ondesa, Garband, Landai, Lajbook, Behari, Darmal, Charingo, kwarei and Chamyar Patay. The water stream which flows across the center of this valley is called Kunayi Khwar. The Shrine of the religious leader Akhoon Ilyas is situated in the southern part of the village Lajbook.

People living in this valley are mostly poor. They are mostly labourers. The go to foreign countries especially to KSA and UAE for earning money. Some of the people are farmers. The ration of education is very low. Majority of the females are uneducated. This is because of the shortage of educational institutions in this valley. There is only one higher secondary school and three middle schools.


Lower Dir District has 37 union councils with a population of 797,852, according to the 1998 census report.[citation needed]
