Larry E. Travis (June 5, 1929 – August 14, 2017) was a Professor Emeritus at the Department of Computer Sciencea as the University of Wisconsin–Madison.[1] He had a faculty position at the University of Wisconsin as early as 1964 (two years before his Ph.D.) until 1994. He got his Ph.D. from University of California, Los Angeles in 1966, with a dissertation titled as: A Logical Analysis of the Concept of Stored Program: A Step Toward a Possible Theory of Rational Learning.
