Lars Eidinger (German: [laʁs ˈaɪ̯dɪŋɐ] (About this soundlisten); born 21 January 1976) is a German actor. Eidinger started his career at Deutsches Theater in 1997. Before his breakthrough, he played minor roles in German TV shows like Schloss Einstein (2002) and Berlin, Berlin (2003). In February 2016, he was nominated as one of the judges for the main competition section of the 66th Berlin International Film Festival.[1] He is a member of the ensemble of the Schaubühne theatre in Berlin, with leading roles in Thomas Ostermeier productions such as Hamlet and Richard III.[2]

Eidinger lives in Berlin, is married and has a daughter. He has appeared in German and international film and television productions.
