Lawrence USD 497 is a public unified school district headquartered in Lawrence, Kansas, United States.[1] The district includes the communities of Lawrence, Clinton, Pleasant Grove, and nearby rural areas.[2] It was organized in 1965 and currently serves approximately 11,000 students from pre-Kindergarten to grade 12 and maintains 13 elementary schools, four middle schools, two high schools, K–8 virtual school, virtual high school, and an adult learning center.[3]
