Les Cabrils station is a French railway station on the railway line from Béziers to Neussargues, located at des Cabrils, in the territory of the municipality of Roqueredonde, in the Hérault department, in the Occitanie region. It was first put into service in 1874 by the .

It is a passenger stop for the SNCF, served by TER Occitanie trains.

Location[]

Established at an altitude of 526 meters, Les Cabrils station is located at Kilometric point (PK) 495.311 of the line from Béziers to Neussargues, between the stations of Joncels (closed) and .[1]

Known as a transit station, it has a platform served by the single track of the rail line.[1]

History[]

The station was put into service on October 18, 1874, by the ‘’Compagnie des chemin de fer du Midi et du Canal lateral à la Garonne’’ when it opened the section of the railway from to Millau.[2] It was at place called "Cabrils" (‘’goat’’ in patois).[3] The former station building is now used as a private residence.[4]

As of 2014, it is classified as a passenger station of local interest (category C: less than 100,000 travelers per year from 2010 to 2011), which has a single-track platform. It is the least frequented active SNCF station based on the number of passengers, with only 14 boardings recorded in 2015.[5]

Service[]

The station is an unmanned SNCF railway stop, consisting of an open-air shelter with some parking available.[6] The station is served by TER Occitanie trains, along the Béziers - Saint-Chély-d'Apcher, or Millau line.[7]
