Lewis Meeson Newsagent was a chain of newsagents in the United Kingdom, with branches located from Liverpool down to London. Lewis Meeson was owned by , the UK confectionery manufacturer, whose brands included Victory V, cough sweets, butterscotch and .

Lewis Meeson was created by amalgamating two newsagent chains, and Meesons. With the head office based in Barker and Dobson’s home town of Liverpool, the chain later acquired further newsagent chains such as , and .

After many years of losses, around 1985 Barker and Dobson decided to sell Lewis Meeson to Guinness plc, the owner of , which operated under the banners of Lavells and .^[1]

Lavells were owned at one point by Barker and Dobson's rivals, Callard and Bowser, who were bought out by Guinness plc.
